Our expanded approach to equipment safety training gained momentum during multiple recent forklift training classes led by Anthony Martin in RDU, part of a broader effort to build training capacity and better support growing demand despite current availability constraints. Reinforcing what our customers count on: consistent, high‑quality equipment training ensures equipment is operated correctly, supports safe jobsites and delivers reliable service.

OES is developing a more standardized, systemwide equipment-training program to ensure employees are certified to operate the equipment they use. Led by Don Head, OES National EHS Lead, and Matt Cooper, Equipment and Fleet Services Lead, the program aligns certification requirements with job responsibilities. For customers, this translates to consistent job site support from teams trained to operate equipment safely, spot common risk points early and follow the standards customers expect on their sites.

Equipment requirements and safety standards continue to evolve, and our training evolves with them. Anthony holds multiple train‑the‑trainer certifications across forklifts, scaffolding, and mobile elevated work platforms and supports teams across the Eastern and Central Divisions. That expertise helps keep OES training aligned with current standards and best practices, so partners can feel confident working with crews who take equipment safety seriously.
